Kind of like... Grapefruit!

Grapefruit, by me.
Grapefruit;
The sweet nectarous hemispheres;
Oh, why for you shield your flesh so?
OH! the bitter rind!
And the juice that makes me blind!
To use a spoon;
Or a knife or a pitchfork tine ;
Relinquish the sweetness you will not.
And I've made up my mind;
So, this is my plot:
Take all the grapefruit
And have them all shot!!
